Welcome to playtime…
Many of my clients have been surprised that the therapy we have done together has been not only effective but also quite fun.I have found ways to make therapy to be fun for everyone involved regardless of age. No matter what the challenges are I am positive we can work through them together to where you can manage the symptoms connected to your challenges. In counseling, I provided a positive, comfortable, safe, and supportive environment for every individual to address their symptoms and challenges in a way that is positive and does not have to go through all the pain of the past.
An area of specialty that I have focused much of my career on has been working with children and families. I love this for many reasons, but one of the main ones is that it has been where I have seen the most healing and connection take place. I enjoy working with children and adolescents to discover their potential and strengths while addressing their challenges in a way that brings a sense of accomplishment. Together we will explore, learn, and apply various strategies and techniques to manage their symptoms and enhance their well-being.
In working with children and adolescents implement play, art, and their fandoms to where they find therapy to be fun and helpful. Fandoms are special interests that the child and adolescent (and even some adults) have and can connect with on some level that can help promote positive outcomes in counseling. However, fandoms are not just for children and adolescents. I have experience in implementing the use of fandoms with teenagers and adults so that therapy is fun for them while providing valuable and unique insight into their challenges. Yes, teenagers and adults can also have fun with therapy to where they can bring out their inner child and enjoy addressing their challenges to improve their well-being. I also provided other modalities and strategies that are not connected to a fandom but can make therapy enjoyable while exploring ways to improve their well-being.
